2013 Autism Conference

Hi everyone. Last October 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday), TheAutism Society Philippines, in partnership with other companies, had a conference at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall. It was a great event, you know, because of those programs, advocacies, etc. I was one of the panelists in the conference, along with other people like myself. My mother, Lizetta Acas Manago, even visited me here in Manila, and also joined the conference. Thank her for that. Aside from that, we met different people like myself and made friends with them, and professional people, one of whom offered me a job at Unilab Foundation. All I needed to do is submit my resume and my portfolio, which shows my background, skills, etc. Thank God for that, really, because after several months of applying for a job and being rejected by those possibly discriminating employers, I am about to be employed by Unilab. If Unilab is reading this message, I would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity, really, I appreciate that, and I would do my best on the job and not disappoint them or something. Finally, I'll be able to save money, help my loved ones, and of course, buy stuff, like gadgets. Hahaha... One more thing, I would like to thank ASP, and the other companies, for making the conference possible, I appreciate that. That's all I have to say. Take care and God bless everyone.

My Physically Defective Laptop

Yesterday, me and my mother were told by the computer repair shop that my physically broken laptop will already be fixed by tomorrow. Then a while ago, I thought I could already get my fixed laptop. But the technician told me that I should wait until Sunday, because it's time-consuming for my laptop to be physically fixed. I was like, frustrated, because I really want my laptop back. My laptop is like, part of my life, you know what I mean? Anyway, I should just bear with my laptop's 3-day loss, and be patient. After all, eventually, my laptop will already be fixed this Sunday.

Halloween, All Souls Day and All Saints Day 2013

Hi everyone. I just wanna say Happy Halloween, All Souls Day, and All Saints Day to everyone of us, and our late loved ones. Let's visit our late loved ones in different cemeteries, and celebrate or something. Plus, let's watch a horror movie marathon, if desired. Hahaha... Anyway, that's all I have to say. Take care and God bless everyone.

"She's The One" Movie at SM North Edsa

Hi everyone. A while ago, I watched "She's The One", a 2013 Filipino rom-com movie starring Bea Alonzo, Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil, at SM North Edsa, alone as always. Hahaha... To be honest, I always watch a new movie at a theater alone, and I'm used to it, I think. Anyway, this movie reminds me of another Bea Alonzo movie, "Close To You" also a rom-com movie starring herself, John Lloyd Cruz and Sam Milby, one of my favorite Filipino rom-com movies that time. Why like that? Because these two movies have similar premises, about two best friends who fell in love with each other or something. In fairness, many movies are like that already, you know, two movies with similar premises, including the Hollywood ones (like "Friends With Benefits" and "No Strings Attached", and also recently, "White House Down" and "Olympus Has Fallen"). But never mind, I don't care if these things happen in movies. After all, I'm a movie lover, and I watch a lot of movies.  Acting wise, the performances of the three main actors were good. Also, the chemistry between Dingdong and Bea, and the chemistry between Bea and Enrique, were undeniably great, to the point of making me smile, laugh and feel kilig almost throughout the movie. Hahaha... I gotta say, I love it, and I' d like to watch the movie again in that theater. However, it cannot be done, because of their "One-Time Viewing" policy. It's okay, no hurt feelings. I can still watch the movie again someday, when it already arrives as home media, and torrent. One more thing, I'd like to congratulate the cast and crew for making that movie possible, and for their good work. They should keep up with that, you know. That's all I have to say. Take care and God bless everyone. :)

Applying at BreadTalk Main Office

Hi everyone. A while ago, I went to BreadTalk main office, because I was applying for a job as their service crew. I made friends along the way. Too bad, I forgot to ask for everyone's Facebook accounts, cellphone numbers, etc, except for a few. But it's okay, what's important is that, we made friends with each other, and we successfully applied for that job. It started at 9 AM and it ended at like, 5 PM, the longest initial interview in my application experience. As usual, there are those who are lucky, others are not. In my case, I was told by the office that I should wait for one week for their response. If I'm not gonna be able to receive a text message or a phone call from the, then it means I'm not accepted. To be honest, I've learned to accept rejections and become mature. I always expect the worst case scenario while applying for a job, while of course, also expecting the best case scenario. After all, there are other jobs there. Hahaha... Take care and God bless everyone. :)

Cinematography Class at 10/8/2013

Hi everyone. Last night at school, after failing to pass my assignment in my Cinematography class, my teacher Sir Nap Jamir II nicely told me that I should pass my assignments on time, never late. Sir Nap is a nice teacher and person, though he's strict when it comes to assignments. He doesn't want us to pass our assignments late. But it's okay, his attitude towards his work and towards us motivates me, and my classmates, to work harder and study harder, in order to finish our subject. Since that day, I swore to myself that I will my pass my assignments either early or on time. It's a good thing Sir Nap gave me, and my fellow classmates who also failed to pass their assignments that day, another chance to finish the latest assignment and pass it the next day, via e-mail. Then the next day, thank God, with the help of my classmates, I was able to make my latest assignment, and passed it to my teacher via e-mail. What a relief, you know, if you successfully pass your assignment. I must admit, Cinematography is hard, really, not my favorite subject, because it has some Math, and the shots and lighting are so deep, you know? No offense Sir Nap, and to my classmates who like this subject, it's just my opinion. I think it's just a challenge to all of us, and we must do our best to finish and survive this subject, so that we'll be able to go to the next level of our Filmmaking course and finish it. Take care and God bless everyone. :)

Film Theory Assignment For APFI

Hi everyone. I must admit, I have this bad habit in cramming assignments, and I don't even know why. Maybe either because of time constraints due to other things to do, or because of laziness. I hope it's not because of laziness. Anyway, a while ago, I went to my school, because I was supposed to do my assignment for Film Theory. However, after arriving, the person in charge of the cameras, Kuya Ronnie, wasn't present because he was in the house of M-7 (one of the founders of the school), for some shoot or something. I was like "Oh my gosh, sayang di ko siya naabutan. Hahaha...". The reason of this failed appointment is that I forgot to sign a borrower's form last meeting, that's why that happened. Anyway, it's okay, because I signed a borrower's form so that tomorrow, when I'm going to school, I could borrow the camera from school, and shoot my assignment for Film Theory. It's just easy, because I could just shoot it selfie documentary style, you know? I think it's one of my trademarks as a future filmmaker. Hahaha... Good luck with my assignment, and my classmates'. Take care and God bless everyone. :)

Panelist Meeting

Yesterday at Autism Society of the Philippines (or ASP for short) main office, we had our meeting for the panelist portion of the ASP Conference. It was very easy, not as hard as I thought. I got along with everyone in the office, including my fellow panelists. It was very nice to meet them. Can't wait to see them again. Hahaha... :)

My Blogsite Introduction

Hi everyone. Let me introduce myself first, before I'll post my blogs in the future. My name is Clarence Manago Cruz. Born on December 17, 1992 (age 20) in Zamboanga City. I was diagnosed with autism since I'm like, 2 or 3 years old. I lived in Zamboanga City from my birth to my Elementary Days. Speaking of my elementary days, I balanced my class schedules at a normal school and a special school. During those times, I became a high-functioning autistic person. As a result, I was pulled from the special school, and continued my studies throughout my studies. During my high school days, I lived and graduated in Dipolog City. During my college days, I lived in Dumaguete City and studied at Silliman University, took up Bachelor of Arts, Major In Speech and Theater Arts. However, I only took that course in 2 years because lately, I realized that I wanted to take up Filmmaking after all. So I dropped my Silliman course, and moved in here, Metro Manila. I was supposed to enroll at UP Film Institute, but I was too late for their enrollment. I instead enrolled at Asia Pacific Film Institute, and I'm currently taking up a 1-year Filmmaking course. I just started last July. If I'm going to describe myself, I'm cheerful, hyper, friendly, sociable, nice, talented and ambitious. Speaking of being ambitious, my ambitions are to live and settle here in Metro Manila, forever. Also, I want to pursue a showbiz career, on cam and/or off cam. I admit, my first love is being on cam, singing and acting to be specific. I learned to love being off cam, you know, directing, script writing, etc. I would also like to someday work with showbiz personalities, including my showbiz crushes Julia Montes and Jessy Mendiola. Hahaha... By the way, lately, I was invited to be one of the panelists at the Autism Society of the Philippines Conference at Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall this October 26-27, 2013. I'm gonna do my best to be a good panelist, because everyone is gonna be there, including those from TV networks. I would like to be an inspiration to everyone, including those with disabilities like myself. I think it's my time to get everyone's attention regarding this matter, you know what I mean? Hahaha... Anyway, to those who'll read my blogs in the future, thank you so much in advance, I appreciate that. That's all I have to say. Take care and God bless everyone. :)
